Terms and Conditions
1 THE COMPETITION
1.1 The Instagram 2022 Prospective Student Competition (“the Competition”) is organised and run by Sheffield Hallam University (“the University”) to advertise and popularise the University’s 2022 student recruitment campaign.
2 HOW TO ENTER
2.1 The University will publish posts on Instagram related to the 2022 student recruitment campaign (“Competition Posts”).
2.2 An entrant is required to comment on a Competition Post, tag a friend and follow @shuoutreach.
2.3 Only one entry by an entrant per post is allowed. Duplicate entries will be removed.
3.1 No purchase is necessary to enter the competition.
3.2 Entry is open to UK residents aged 16 or over. If the entrant is under the age of 18, it is the responsibility of the entrant to obtain permission from their parent/guardian to enter the competition.
3.3 Employees of the University are not eligible to enter.
4 WINNER SELECTION AND ANNOUNCEMENT
4.1 The winner of the Competition will be the first entry drawn at random by a computer process one week after the launch of the Competition.
4.2 The winner will be notified via direct message on Instagram of their prize within 48 hours of the draw. Winners must respond to accept the prize as directed in the notification within 48 hours of receipt or an alternative winner will be selected.
4.3 Winners will be asked to consent to take part in publicity organised by the promoter.
5 COMPETITION TIMINGS
5.1 The duration of the competition will be from 13th June 2022 to 19th June 2022.
6 PRIZE DETAILS
6.1 The prize consists of one branded canvas bag, one branded water bottle, one notepad, one pen and a £10 voucher.
6.2 The prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and there is no cash alternative.
6.3 The prize is redeemable by the named winner only.
6.4 The promoter reserves the right in its absolute discretion to substitute any prizes with a prize of equivalent or higher value in the event of circumstances outside of its control.
7.1 Entrants are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions upon entry. The promoter reserves the right to refuse entry or to refuse to award the prize to anyone in breach of these terms and conditions.
7.2 The promoter’s decision about any aspect of the competition is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
7.3 The competition will be governed by English law and entrants submit to the jurisdiction of the English courts.

9 DATA PROTECTION
9.1 The promoter shall collect the following types of personal data of entrants: full name, school or college, year group at school or college, and home address.
9.2 The promoter shall process personal data exclusively and solely for the purposes of: (a) selecting the winner, (b) contacting the winner and awarding them with the prize, and (c) asking the winner to take part in publicity.
9.3 The personal data of entrants shall be retained by the promoter for one year from the end of the competition.
