Outline of research project

My work considers how children experience the world through their bodies, and how the differences of disability, race and gender play into these experiences. Particularly I am focusing on children in Reception and Year 1 at a northern English inner-city school. I use creative methodologies to understand children’s worlds in a way that makes sense to them. For example, I play with children and engage in activities they enjoy such as drawing.
