'I developed a school by establishing and embedding a coaching culture'
Our MSc Coaching and Mentoring graduate, Hannah Darley, applied her skills to transform a primary school in Leeds by establishing and embedding a coaching culture.
Hannah: ‘On a regular occurrence we were facing low attendance, dysfunctionality of even beginning the day and getting to school. It was very important at that time to recognise those challenges and to instil pride and belief.
'Sheffield Hallam equipped me with the coaching and mentoring skills which are absolutely integral to the approach we've chosen.'
Hannah and the previous Headteacher at Hunslet Moor Primary School have written a book called Creating Change in Urban Settings to map the journey of the school and highlight the impact they have seen in improving the achievements of their pupils.
