Covid guidance for visitors

We’re looking forward to welcoming visitors back on site, but we are not yet back to our normal way of campus life. These are the things in place to keep you safe while you visit our campuses.

If you are visiting campus because you are booked on to a student-led tour, please also view our visitor arrival guidance in addition to the below safety guidelines.

Visiting our Campus

  • Before attending - you should view the latest government guidance for safe travel and be mindful of any local restrictions on travel before coming to campus. We recommend you undertake a test, using a self-testing kit and confirm a negative result before coming to visit our campus.
  • Household bubbles - attendees should be from the same household or bubble.
  • QR Code scans - upon arrival you will be asked to scan a track and trace QR code.
  • Please wear a face covering - please wear a mask or face covering on campus, unless you are exempt.
  • Try to keep a safe distance from others - please maintain 2 metre social distancing, following signage on campus.
  • Wash your hands and use hand sanitiser - we advise you wash your hands for 20 seconds regularly and carry hand sanitiser with you. We have wipes and sanitisers available across campus.
  • Follow guidance - please keep left and follow signage around campus or by members of Sheffield Hallam University staff.
  • If you feel unwell - If you receive a positive test or develop any symptoms prior to your visit, you must self-isolate and not visit the campus. Whilst on campus, if you begin to experience any Covid-19 symptoms, you should return to home and arrange a test for Covid-19 as soon as possible
  • If you get a positive test in the 2 weeks following visiting campus please report this to us though the COVID-19 reporting tool.
