We’re looking forward to welcoming visitors back on site.
Our decisions about safety measures at Sheffield Hallam University are made in line with government and local public health guidance. We strongly advise and recommend all visitors, staff and students to continue to consider the safety of themselves and others in respect of hands, face and space.
These are the things in place to keep you safe while you visit our campuses.
Visiting our Campus
To prioritise the safety of our students, staff and visitors, not all of our buildings are accessible and some may have restrictions in place. Please remain in the areas that are designated for your visit.
Before attending - you should view the latest government guidance for safe travel before coming to campus. We recommend visitors to undertake a lateral flow test, using a self-testing kit and confirm a negative result before coming to visit our campus.
- QR Code scans - we will ask you to scan our SHU QR codes as you move around campus, so that if a guest is later found to be infectious we can notify you promptly.
- While on campus, please keep a safe distance from others and follow signage around the campus.
- Please wear a face covering when moving around indoors or in crowded indoor spaces.
- We advise you to wash your hands regularly and carry hand sanitiser with you. We have wipes and sanitisers available across campus.
If you feel unwell - If you receive a positive test or develop any symptoms prior to your visit, you must self-isolate and not visit the campus. Whilst on campus, if you begin to experience any Covid-19 symptoms, you should return to home and arrange a test for Covid-19 as soon as possible.
If you get a positive test in the 2 weeks following your visit to campus please report this to us through the COVID-19 reporting tool
We are working closely with all our partner accommodation providers to ensure that they meet government Covid-safe guidance – your safety and comfort are our key concerns.
On the accommodation tour you will be shown an example of one of our wide range of residences. To help keep our community safe, we are not able to show you all our halls at the moment, but you can see our full range of residences online.
