Wellbeing support during Covid-19

Wellbeing support during Covid-19

Wellbeing support is still available during the coronavirus pandemic. You can access our services online and over the phone.

After you register for support, you will be able to book a phone appointment with one of our practitioners. They will help you explore your situation  and decide what support might work best.

One-on-one appointments

Our one-to-one appointments are taking place by phone or video call. We usually use Zoom for video calls. This applies to all types of session: counselling, wellbeing, mental health support, Report and Support, and inclusive support.

Group sessions

Our group sessions can also be booked online. All groups are delivered by video call, using Zoom.

If you have particular communication needs of preferences, please mention these when you register with us.

Support for isolating students

If you’re self-isolating and would like to connect with others in a similar situation and speak to a wellbeing practitioner, you can join our online drop-in for support

Sessions are informal and will offer tips and advice on how to look after yourself during a challenging time. Every Wednesday during term-time between 2-2.30 p.m.

Contact us on 0114 225 2136 or at student.wellbeing@shu.ac.uk to let us know that you are isolating then book on the above link.

Coronavirus self-help

For those that may be feeling worried about the current uncertain situation, we have put together a selection of resources relating to coronavirus.

As always, mental health support is available 24 hours a day through the Togetherall community website. The site now includes resources to help you look after yourself during the Covid-19 outbreak. Anyone with a Hallam email address can register.
