Course induction schedule

New to Sheffield Hallam? Your course induction schedule explains what to do when teaching begins. You’ll be introduced to your tutors, course mates and learning spaces. All sessions are mandatory unless you're genuinely unable to attend.

Covid-19 student guidance

We’re encouraging all students to get vaccinated, and please try to take a lateral flow test before travelling. Once here, you must wear a face covering while in University buildings on campus (unless exempt).

Please take the time to look at our student handbook which includes the student code of conduct, the student charter and other key info. It’ll help you to contribute to our safe, inclusive and supportive #TeamHallam community.

Sustainable Atrium reopens

We’re excited to announce the reopening of our award-winning Atrium at the heart of our City Campus in Owen Building. Check out the new glare-resistant roof, contemporary internal design, eco-friendly lighting and calm-inducing planters.

QUICK LINKS

Hallam Help - your first point of contact when you need advice and support about your studies and life at University, or help to understand the University’s services and processes. The team will help you to access specialist support, if you need it. You can find the answers to frequently asked questions online or you can contact us directly via our live chat service, by phone, email or visiting us on campus at one of our help points in Owen level 5, Adsetts and Collegiate Libraries and Heart of the Campus.


MyHallam - your gateway to Blackboard, My Student Record and all your online tools including wellbeing support and resources.


The Library and Skills Centre - open 24/7 providing a range of learning spaces, including those for individual and group working. We encourage you to book your learning space in advance, but there will be walk up spaces available on a first come basis. The bookshelves are open for browsing and borrowing is self-service. You can make requests for books that we don't have with Document Supply Services. Your Library Online provides access to books, journals, databases, subject support, the Skills Centre, and 24/7 Library Chat.
