Jackie is an experienced strategic leader with 14 years’ Board-level experience across complex, multi-sector health and care systems. For the final six years of her NHS career, she served as Accountable Chief Executive Officer of NHS Doncaster Clinical Commissioning Group, providing strategic leadership across the local health and care system. During her tenure, she led the organisation from a rating of Good to Outstanding, maintaining that rating for five consecutive years.
Jackie brings a strong commitment to effective governance, organisational culture and developing people and organisations to achieve their full potential. Her leadership style is collaborative, supportive and challenging, with a strong belief that openness, transparency, learning and teamwork create empowered people and organisations that can deliver lasting improvement.
She is particularly passionate about tackling health inequalities, improving social mobility and creating greater opportunities for people and communities to thrive. Jackie believes that education and lifelong learning are powerful drivers of personal growth, opportunity and social mobility, and that access to learning should be available to everyone who wants to continue their educational journey.
Born and raised in Doncaster, Jackie is a passionate champion of South Yorkshire and its people. She is committed to the role that universities can play in transforming lives, developing skills and talent, supporting innovation and contributing to the economic, social and cultural prosperity of the region.
Jackie holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration and a Diploma in Management Studies.
