Sheffield Hallam University Board of Governors Terms of Appointment. The Board of Governors is established by law and operates in accordance with the University's Instrument and Articles of Government.
The Board meets six times a year. The agendas and minutes of Board meetings are published following each meeting.
The Regulations are the University's subsidiary governing documents which, with the Instrument and Articles of Government, uphold the Public Interest Governance Principles.
In line with the Committee of University Chairs (CUC) Higher Education Code of Governance, the Board of Governors regularly reviews its effectiveness. The last external review of the Board took place in 2024/25 and the Board received the final report at its meeting in February 2025. The Board, through its Governance and Nominations Committee monitors the review's action plan. The external reviews are complemented by an internal review of the Board and its Committee's effectiveness.
