Jo Norry MBE

Summary
Jo is a retired experienced university senior manager, latterly Director of Library and Student Services at Leeds Beckett University, leading libraries, digital learning, student IT support, student services centres and student mental health and disability support. Her Board experience spans the higher education, museum and charitable sectors, including serving as a Governor of Leeds Beckett University, member of the Board of Trustees of Unipol Student Homes, Trustee of the Society of College, National and University Libraries, and currently as a Trustee of the Thackray Museum of Medicine in Leeds. Jo is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals, a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, and holds postgraduate qualifications in librarianship, human resource management, and MA in Medieval English Literature. In the 2022 New Year’s Honours, she was awarded an MBE for services to higher education and social inclusion. Jo is a proud Sheffielder, and is delighted to return to SHU, where she previously both worked and achieved a postgraduate degree.
