As an incoming international student, we are excited to welcome you to our vibrant and diverse community. To help you settle in smoothly and make the most of your time here, we offer a comprehensive orientation program.
This program is packed with essential information about the University, the support services available to you, and is a fantastic opportunity to get acquainted with Sheffield and meet your fellow new students.
To participate, simply book your place by filling out a short form. Our two-day orientation schedule is designed to ensure you start your journey with all the tools and knowledge you need. Join us on Thursday, 12 September, and Friday, 13 September, for informative sessions in the mornings and engaging social activities in the afternoons. We will also repeat the sessions on Friday 20 September if you miss the main orientation dates to help you catch up.
You'll also have the opportunity to join us for a fun, informal welcome dinner and a day trip to the beautiful city of York. We look forward to meeting you and helping you embark on this exciting new chapter!

Meet in the Dorothy Fleming Lecture Theatre for a short briefing before setting out in teams to complete this fun challenge around Sheffield city centre.
Walk to Weston Park
Join us for a 30 minute walk to the beautiful Weston Park, situated in a popular student area of the city.

Popular with local and international tourists, York is one of the most historic cities in the UK. Among its many attractions are the famous castle, minster and museums, including the National Railway Museum.
