International arrivals

A very warm welcome to Sheffield Hallam University, we look forward to meeting you here in Sheffield.

Arrival times

To arrive in good time for International Orientation and your course induction, you should aim to arrive on campus by Tuesday 13 September at the latest. If you arrive at Manchester airport in this period you will benefit from the free airport pick up service.

If you are arriving outside our Meet and Greet desk opening times, the main University buildings might be closed. You can call our 24-hour helpline on 0800 073 1318. Make a note of this before you travel. You should also contact your landlord in advance to confirm your arrival time.

Please note you must not travel to the UK after the latest arrival date applicable to you. You will not be able to enrol at Sheffield Hallam University if you arrive after that date. You can request a deferral to the next intake by emailing enrolment@shu.ac.uk.

If you plan to bring dependants with you, please read our guidance for international students with families.

Follow this timeline and complete the key tasks to ensure a smooth transition to study in Sheffield Hallam University.
