International arrivals

A very warm welcome to Sheffield Hallam University, we look forward to meeting you here in Sheffield.

Arrival times for students starting in September 2023

To arrive in good time for International Orientation and your course induction, you should aim to arrive on campus by Tuesday 12 September 2023 at the latest. If you arrive at Manchester airport between 2 – 12 September you will benefit from the free airport pick up service.

If you are arriving outside our Meet and Greet desk opening times, the main University buildings might be closed. You can call our 24-hour helpline on 0800 073 1318. Make a note of this before you travel. You should also contact your landlord in advance to confirm your arrival time.

If you cannot make it to Sheffield by that date you will be able to request a deferral to the next intake by emailing enrolment@shu.ac.uk.

If you plan to bring dependants with you, please read our guidance for international students with families.
