We work in partnership with a number of leading organisations including Rolls-Royce, Tata Steel, Kimberly Clark, JCB and Network Rail. Our strong relationship with industry was recognised when the department was shortlisted for Times Higher Education's Outstanding Employer Engagement Award in 2011.
Our maths courses are consistently placed in the top five of the country in the National Student Survey.

Our mathematics courses develop graduates who are skilled at solving problems that arise in many settings including environmental, medical, industrial, commercial and physical contexts.
