Abigail Cooper MSc

Lecturer in Physiotherapy

Summary

Having worked within paediatric physiotherapy for many years I have developed a particular interest in children and adolescent pain management. I enjoy helping others develop, whether that’s through sports coaching, with physiotherapy patients or with our students.

About

I qualified as a physiotherapist from the University of Birmingham in 2015 and have worked within paediatrics in a variety of clinical settings, including both the NHS and private practice, specialising in chronic pain. I began teaching in Higher Education in 2022, initially teaching Sports Rehabilitation, before joining the SHU Physiotherapy teaching team.
