Summary

I have worked at Sheffield Hallam since May 2022. I teach on a number of courses within the department including the Foundation Degree with Children and Families, the BA, DA and MA in Social Work, as well as the Learning Disability Nursing and Social Work course. I also support Practice Educators and work with the South Yorkshire Teaching Partnership, as well as work alongside colleagues who help identify international volunteering placements for students.

I qualified as a Social Worker having acquired an MSc in from London Metropolitan University in 2009. I have subsequently acquired a Post Graduate Diploma in Social Work in addition to being a level 3 Practice Educator.

I have worked in a range of roles, setting and locations in the UK, where most of which are Children and Families. I have however also worked in a Community Mental Health Team as a Psychiatric Social Worker. Areas of particular interest include working with Children that are in the care of the Local Authority, working with disability and that includes both children and adults, as well as working within mental health.
