Doctor Andrew Jeffrey MA
Lecturer in Creative Writing
Summary
I write poetry, creative non-fiction and short stories and am particularly interested in thinking about our relationship with the more-than-human world. I also enjoy using writing as a way of building and celebrating community. I like collaborating with artists who use different media as a way of expanding my writing practice.

Research
I am currently researching two other main areas. The first involves place based creative writing that is a hybrid between memoir style writing and poetry. I am exploring how this kind of writing can be used to provoke exploration about our relationship to places at different scales. The second research area involves using creative writing techniques to facilitate conversations about social change around issues involving intergenerational social justice.
