I am an experienced product designer and tutor on the BA Product Design course. My interests focus on merging traditional design skills with modern digital technologies, such as 3D CAD, additive manufacturing, and, more recently, the influence of AI and machine learning tools on the creative design process.
I am passionate about bringing real-world insights into the classroom and providing innovative, hands-on learning experiences.
About
After graduating with a first-class degree in Industrial Design in 2011, I spent 12 years working across various commercial product design consultancies before joining Sheffield Hallam University as a part-time tutor on the BA Product Design course. Throughout my career, I have gained extensive experience in the product development process, working across the medical, consumer, and industrial sectors, developing a wide range of products, such as ergonomic office equipment, social care alarms, and power tools, for a variety of clients and brands. My interests focus on merging traditional design skills with modern digital technologies, such as 3D CAD, additive manufacturing, and, more recently, the influence of AI and machine learning tools on the creative design process. Drawing on my industry experience, I am passionate about bringing current, real-world insights into the classroom and providing innovative, hands-on learning experiences.
