I am interested in the intersections of film theory, filmmaking, and film-philosophy. My teaching includes the forms and affects of cinematic realism, space, and temporality, as well as undergraduate research supervision on BA (Hons) Animation and BA (Hons) Film and Television Production.
My particular areas of interest and include Deconstruction, Speculative Realism, film-philosophy, critical and creative pedagogies and the relationship between theory and practice, time in narrative and film, and new developments in methods of film analysis.

I am currently undertaking a PhD that explores the limitations of the concept of a film world through the work of Swedish director Roy Andersson.
