About
I qualified as a social worker in 1997 and I am also a qualified primary school teacher with additional qualifications in special educational needs teaching. I taught in mainstream and special schools before moving to the UK in 2005.
Since moving to the UK, I have worked for Local Authorities in the Midlands region in roles within both Children’s and Adults Social Care (Children in Need, Children with Disabilities, Transition, Adult Mental Health, Short Term Enablement and Prevention & Autism Team, DoLS, AMHP). I have been training lead for Approved Mental Health Professionals for my current employer for 2 years.
I am currently a practicing Approved Mental Health Professional and an independent Best Interests Assessor.
