Jamie is a senior clinical practitioner and academic with expertise spanning critical care, perioperative practice, and patient safety. He is currently a Lecturer in Operating Department Practice at Sheffield Hallam University, where he engages on curriculum development, delivers teaching across anaesthetics, surgical practice, and critical care, and mentors the next generation of practitioners through innovative and simulation-based education.

His scholarly contributions include a nationally implemented quality improvement project on improving overnight handovers within inpatient care settings.
