Kate Heaton-Stockton RNMH, RGN, RSCN, RNT, BSc (Hons), MSc, FHEA

Lecturer

Summary

My main role at Sheffield Hallam University is to support and educate student nurses undertaking the pre-registration nursing programme.

About

My background is nursing. Although I am RNMH, RGN and RSCN my main field of practice has been child nursing, acute and emergency nursing.

I have worked around the region in district general and specialist hospitals and community in clinical, management and education roles for over 40 years!

I have worked at SHU previously as a senior lecturer for a number of years before returning to practice in both adult and child field. Recently I have returned to SHU as I missed nurse education, particularly clinical skills and simulation teaching with nursing students. I now work with SHU Simulation Team and also in clinical practice - the best of both worlds.
