Liam Hall MArt, FHEA
Senior Lecturer
Summary
I am the course leader for the BA (Honours) Animation and BA (Honours) Illustration courses, and a senior lecturer in animation.
About
Teaching since 2017, I primarily specialise in 2D animation, idea development and visual storytelling. I am most interested in the intersection between animation and other forms of visual storytelling, as well as aspects of film studies.
Outside of academia, I have worked on a number of award-winning animated shorts and co-founded a small Sheffield-based animation production company in 2016. While I left the company in 2021 to focus on teaching, I've continued to maintain industry connections, and frequently use my experience to inform my teaching and support and guide students.
