Summary

I am an ACCA qualified accountant and specialise in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). I mainly teach undergraduate financial accounting and corporate reporting modules at Sheffield Hallam University. These modules support students in their professional exempting route for various professional accounting bodies (such as ACCA and CIMA).

Prior to this, I worked in one of the Big Four accountancy firms in both the Assurance as well as Learning and Training departments.

I am an ACCA qualified accountant and specialise in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

I teach various financial accounting and corporate reporting modules across different levels of undergraduate degree programmes.

This includes: Module leader for Financial Accounting & Reporting (Level 5 module)

Module leader for Advanced Financial Accounting and Reporting (Level 6 module).

Key teaching member for Corporate Reporting (Level 6 module).

These modules support students in their professional exempting route for various professional accounting bodies (such as ACCA and CIMA).

Besides, I was the Course Leader for the Accounting and Finance undergraduate course. In 2021, I won the College of Business, Technology & Engineering Inspirational Teaching Award.

As part of my career development, both professionally and academically, I am currently involved in various external engagements. This includes: External Examiner for Accounting programmes at York St John University. Marker for the ACCA Foundations in Audit exam. Panel member of the ACCA Public and Not-for-Profit Sector Community Panel.

Prior to this, I worked for several years in the Assurance Service for one of the Big Four accountancy firms and gained my ACCA professional qualification with that firm. In addition, I worked in their Learning and Training department and delivered multiple audit & accountancy courses for different levels of professional audit staff.
