Martin Coggin, Lecturer, Sheffield Hallam University

Martin Coggin

Lecturer

Summary

Hi, I qualified from Sheffield Hallam University as an adult nurse in 2015 and have now returned as a lecturer! I also work clinically in critical care as a charge nurse, please say hello if you see me in clinical practice and have any questions. I really enjoy the science behind what we do in nursing and can easily talk about the cardiac system for far longer than most people want to listen! I massively enjoyed my time at SHU and decided to settle here because of the city, I would always be happy to share stories about my time as a student nurse.

2023 has been a big year and has seen me become a dad to a wonderful little baby girl, so most of my time outside of work is spent enjoying every moment I can with her. I also really enjoy watching football (knee injuries meant my footballing career ended before it began unfortunately), a good TV series, walks around the peaks and a cold beer.
