Summary

Myles is the course leader of the BSc (Hons) Cyber Security with Forensics degree. He delivers a range of computer forensic topics on both undergraduate and postgraduate modules. He is passionate about digital forensics and developing student employability skills.

About

Myles joined Sheffield Hallam in August 2022, bringing with him 16 years of industrial experience and 9 years of academic experience. He is a highly qualified and highly experienced IT professional and senior lecturer who uses his wealth of experience when delivering lectures and labs, positioning the theory and practical skills being taught directly into real world scenarios. 

He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, a member of The Institution of Engineering and Technology, and a member of the BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT. He is also a committee member of the BCS (South Yorkshire branch) with the role of Student Engagement Officer.

He is actively involved in a number of outreach programmes and with the local cyber security community. 

He is a STEM Ambassador and a Cyber First Ambassador, and regularly delivers exciting cyber security classes to local schools and colleges.

He is an active researcher with interests in cyber security, digital forensics, employability skills, and gender equality, particularly in cybersecurity.
