Rachael Colley is a senior lecturer in jewellery and metalwork, based at the Sheffield Institute of Arts within Sheffield Hallam. She is a member of the Art and Design Research Centre (ADRC), based within the College of Business, Technology and Engineering.
About
She holds a BA in 3D Design (Silversmithing and Jewellery) from Loughborough University and an MA in Goldsmithing, silversmithing, metalwork and Jewellery from the Royal College Art. Colley's practice-led research explores the fleeting and complex nature of human existence, predominantly using jewellery and objects as modes of expression. Her current research seeks to defamiliarise everyday organic materials, to resemble precious artefacts and objects of value.
