Summary

Seun Kolade is a Professor of Entrepreneurship and Digital Transformation at Sheffield Business School. His research activities cover the broad areas of digital transformation, transformative entrepreneuring, social and spiritual capital, refugee entrepreneurship, and SME strategies in turbulent environments. Professor Kolade is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA), a Certified Management and Business Educator (CMBE), and a recognised agile leader, holding the industry-leading PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) certification. He is Associate Editor of Technology Analysis and Strategic Management (ABS 2*) and the co-editor of the forthcoming book Digital Innovations for a Circular Plastic Economy in Africa (Routledge, 2023).

Seun Kolade is a Professor of Entrepreneurship and Digital Transformation at Sheffield Business School, Sheffield Hallam University, United Kingdom. He previously held research and teaching positions at De Montfort University, Loughborough University London, University of Wolverhampton, and London South Bank University. His research activities cover the broad areas of digital transformation, transformative entrepreneuring, social and spiritual capital, refugee entrepreneurship, and SME strategies in turbulent environments. 

A Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA) and a Certified Management and Business Educator (CMBE), Professor Kolade has authored more than 65 academic outputs, including journal articles, book chapters and conference papers. He is also a recognised agile leader, holding the industry-leading PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) certification. He is a consultant for the British Council and a member of the United Nations’ expert group on operationalisation of social capital in situations of forced displacement- a group set up in 2018 by the UN Office for Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA). Seun was recently a co-investigator in a UKRI-funded project Digital Innovation for Transitioning to a Digital Plastic Economy in Africa (DITCh Plastic, Ref No EP/T029846/1), and currently a co-investigator in the British Council-funded project titled Circular Plastic Innovation Hub. He is Asscoiate Editor of Technology Analysis and Strategic Management (ABS2*), the lead editor of The Palgrave Handbook of African Entrepreneurship (Palgrave Macmillan, 2021), and the co-editor of the forthcoming book, Digital Innovations for a Circular Plastic Economy in Africa (Routledge, 2023).
