Summary
I have been teaching within paramedic Higher Education at SHU for 8 years, after front line paramedic duties within East Midlands Ambulance Service and still hold a bank contract as a paramedic. My main interest is placement learning and also teach practical and theory throughout the curriculum.
About
I started my paramedic career as a Emergency medical technician, progressed to the paramedic role within the service and held a management position for a short time. During my time at SHU I have had, and still maintain an active role within recruitment, teaching practical and theoretical study throughout the 3 years BSc. My current teaching also includes medical research, public health, placement learning as placement lead, EDI lead and lead for one of our FD modules taught within local colleges.
