Doctor Youcef Djerbib PhD
Senior Lecturer
Summary
Main area of interest is Geotechnics, the study of the mechanical behaviour of soils and foundation engineering.
About
I graduated with a BEng (1977), MEng (1978) and a PhD (1986) in the field of Civil and Structural Engineering from the University of Sheffield. I have experience in both teaching and industrial practice. I was employed for 6 years as a structural engineer, and taught geotechnics and structural Engineering over more than 20 years. At the same time I have also taught computing science mainly networking and information and computer security for for 16 years. My main research interest is the use of soil (adobe) as a construction material.
