Email BMRCDr Nick Peake and final year Human Biology student Rachel Sharp attended the 2018 Animal Free Research UK summer school - a three-day residential packed with career-boosting and inspirational workshops.
The summer school aims to help early career scientists to develop skills for their future careers. Additionally students get given an insight into the world of animal free research with the opportunity to visit an animal free laboratory and meet animal free research scientists.
Dr Nick Peake stated: ‘The Summer School has been really really useful for the students to develop their career skills. It’s not an experience that they get as part of their undergraduate degree, where they only interact with people from their course. Coming to an event like this, they see the much bigger world of research.’
