BMRC academics Dr Bryony Cotterell, a post-doctoral researcher and doctoral student Alex Andrews spoke to BBC Radio Sheffield's Rony Robinson about their research in microbiology.

They discussed the bacteria in our guts, catheters causing infection in hospital patients, evolution of bacteria and how disease could cause the end of the world ahead of their ‘Science of Science Fiction’ event, which takes place on Friday 2 November at the Millennium Gallery, Sheffield. Listen again here [from 9.27 and again from 19.44].

The event is free of charge and for 18+ only. For more information, click here.
