Karl Norris successfully defended his PhD thesis yesterday in his viva and has passed his PhD subject to minor modifications, which are very minor in his case!

The examiners were very impressed with Karl’s knowledge of the field as well as with the work he had done. The title of his thesis is ‘eIF2B bodies and their role in the control of protein synthesis’, supervised by Director of Studies Susan Campbell and first supervisor Ben Abell. This is Susan’s first PhD student completion at SHU so congratulations to the supervisory team as well.
