The field of extracellular vesicles (EV) is a rapidly growing area of research, both globally and within the UK. The UK Society for Extracellular Vesicles (UKEV) is a result of the success and collaborative spirit of UK-based researchers with an interest in extracellular vesicles.

Held at the University of Nottingham between 16-19th July, Dr Nick Peake was part of the organising team of the first ever UKEV Summer School which focused on key concepts of EV, provided hands-on practical tuition on EV purification and characterisation and facilitated a networking opportunity for the EV field. Nick opened the conference with an introduction to background on the guidelines for characterising EVs and PhD student Rob Tempest had also been recruited to help out on the day.

The conference saw 50 delegates from all over the world and has received fantastic feedback.
