August 2026 Programme Update

Since starting in November 2024, we have supported organisations across the region to innovate and grow. It’s been incredible to see so much interest in the South Yorkshire Innovation Programme from organisations across the region and a wide variety of sectors, leading to so many successful, interesting projects.

We'd like to thank everyone who has engaged with the programme: the organisations who brought their ideas and ambition, and our partners throughout the region whose collaboration has been central to what SYIP has achieved.

As of 31 July 2026, we have made the final allocations of the academic project and Deploy grant budgets and are no longer able to accept new project enquiries.

All ongoing academic projects must complete by 31 October 2026.

All ongoing Deploy grant projects must complete and submit a final grant claim by 31 August 2026.

As we move into our final months, we'll continue to drive impact from the programme through the projects that remain live and through our in-flight evaluation which is capturing the learning from SYIP to help shape how business support is delivered in South Yorkshire in future.
