The MAZAK FJV25 high speed machining centre is used to test coated tools under realistic manufacturing conditions.

Tool wear mechanisms whilst machining EN24 steel (HRc 30) and A2 steel (HRc 58) are under investigation as part of the European Union HIDAM project.

The milling centre with expert technical support is available for hire on a commercial basis.
