Senior researcher, Quanshun Luo talks about his work into ultra-high strength steel and how this can be utilised in the automotive industry, specifically for large vehicles.

Ultra-high strength steel is an important material for many key components in the automotive industry, such as torsion bars, power transmission shafts and gears. Speaking to AZoM magazine, Quanshun discusses his project in depth, looking at the structural integrity of torsion bars for larger vehicles.

In the interview, Quanshun discusses the materials which he is developing and how the ultra-high strength steel can not only improve structural integrity, but also the reliability and energy saving benefits of using these materials.
