Dr Paul Bingham becomes a Fellow of the Society of Glass Technology

Our Senior Lecturer in Materials Engineering, Dr Paul Bingham, was recently made a Fellow of the Society of Glass Technology.

The Society exists to encourage and advance the study of the science, design, manufacture and end use of glass. It brings together a wide range of individuals and organisations to share knowledge and publications relating to this important area.

Fellowship recognises an individual's achievement, and is awarded to those who have reached prescribed levels of attainment in the business of glass, and for recognised contributions to the science and technology of glass.

Dr Bingham commented 'It was a wonderful experience to sign the Society's Book of Fellows, joining the likes of Henry Louis Le Chatalier, Professor WES Turner and many other esteemed glass scientists.'
