MERI Becomes Connected!

MERI Becomes Connected!

Saturday 11 September 2010

In some respects we have been living in times of the past here at the Materials and Engineering Research Institute. Despite being founded as long ago as 1992 MERI has certainly taken its time to get with the times and adopt a social media marketing campaign. In the most recent weeks however, MERI has begun to modernise and join the popular social media sites.

MERI have had an active Twitter account for over a year now and it has proven to be a vital tool for driving traffic to our website and increasing our online presence for future clients and research students. Recently the Twitter account has become better utilised and more frequently updated to keep our followers (more than 200 of them!) up to date on all the important stories and topics regarding our high class institute.

The popularity and success of our Twitter account has prompted us to open a new Facebook page (which can be found here). We urge you to 'like' our page if you are interested in the work we do here at MERI as it's a great way to keep up to date with all the latest information as well as 'following' us on Twitter if you have a Twitter account!

As well as our Twitter and Facebook pages we also have an active LinkedIn account which is yet another great way to get relevant information as soon as it is released. Finally a new feature to our news pages on our website is the Twitter button and Facebook share button which can be used to share our news stories with your friends and followers.
