I completed my undergraduate and postgraduate Sports Science degrees at Teesside University. I was then involved in a Research Councils UK funded project investigating the effects of a newly developed, low-volume, high-intensity exergame on health outcomes in men.

Tim started his academic career in the UK as a Lecturer at the University of Manchester, in February 2004. Prior to that appointment he had nine years of research experience on the modelling, control, performance monitoring and optimisation of industrial systems.

I support the Cultural, Communication and Computing Research Institute (C3RI) in maximising the impact of its research in a wide range of projects across Fine Art, Design, Film and Media Production, Journalism, Public Relations, Media Studies, Communication, Security and Computing.
