Lattice Boltzmann has been used as the host of the hydrodynamics simulation. It is a fairly recent method based on the well known Boltzmann probability distribution function. The following aims to give the reader the essential concept of lattice Boltzmann.

Martin Wilding graduated from Derbyshire College of Higher Education (now the University of Derby) in 1986 and then went on to complete a PhD at the University of Edinburgh, studying mineral inclusions in natural diamonds.
