A portrait of Ehsan Habib in front of the Eiffel Tower

While he was studying Digital Media Production, Ehsan Habib was taken on by local community radio station Link FM 96.7 as a volunteer graphic designer. By the station’s first birthday event, Ehsan had rebranded the entire company and was presenting his new designs to the Mayor of Sheffield.

“Link FM aims to bring the community together by airing shows that everyone can enjoy. Their programmes include sport, music, politics and news, available to listen and livestream.

“I started on smaller jobs like flyers and business cards, but ended up rebranding the entire company. I wanted to make the station as appealing as possible – across its platforms.

“When the birthday event took place, I had to unveil the new logo and website in front of around 250 people. It was the scariest feeling ever! Important public figures including the Mayor of Sheffield and South Yorkshire Police were in the audience.

“It was nerve-racking, but the whole experience really prepared me for what life after uni would be like. After graduating, I applied for a job in London and was successful – I now work on Liverpool Street.

“The move to London was a big change. It can be hectic and stressful at times, but I love my work.”
