Arrival guidance - student-led tours

How to find us

It’s a great idea to plan your journey before the day so you set off early with enough time before the start of your tour. Directions, maps and parking details can be found on our website. We have campus and accommodation tours starting from both City and Collegiate campus so make sure you come to the right one. If you need disabled parking, or to cancel your booking, please call 0114 225 6464 before the event or 07795 450 004 on the day.

To keep all visitors safe, you must only attend your booked session. Guests not booked onto the event may not be granted access to campus on the day.

When you arrive

Please arrive at your meeting point a maximum of 5 minutes before the time your tour starts. You will be met at the registration point for your tour by a student ambassador wearing a blue t-shirt. Please ensure only individuals who are booked onto your tour attend your time slot.

One of our student ambassadors will lead your campus tour. The Accommodation tours will be led by staff looking after the particular hall you are touring. A member of the Student Recruitment Team will also be available to answer any questions you might have. There won't be any course specific staff or students available however you can get in touch with them by attending an open day.

You will be able to use the toilets before or after your tour. There will be food and drink outlets open at each of the campuses, please ask your tour guide if you would like further information or guidance on the day.

If you’re running late, please contact the UK Student Recruitment Team on 07795 450 004. We’re unable to guarantee a campus tour for latecomers, but the earlier you let us know, the sooner we can try to make alternative arrangements.

Keeping you safe

Please check out our Visiting Campus Guidance for up to date information about how we are keeping you safe when on campus.

If you receive a positive test or develop any symptoms prior to your visit, you must self-isolate and not visit the campus. Whilst on campus, if you begin to experience any Covid-19 symptoms, you should alert your guide, return home and arrange a test for Covid-19 as soon as possible

Following your visit, if you test positive for Covid-19, or you suspect you have Covid-19 please complete this short contact form and a member of the CHART (Covid Help, Advice and Reporting Team) team will contact you. Reporting is required to protect our community and to enable us to provide support.
