Community Justice Portal
Our goal is to be the online destination of choice for community justice practitioners seeking professional development, networking and knowledge sharing opportunities.
The HCCJ hosts the Community Justice Portal which was launched by Hilary Benn MP in September 2002. It offers an environment where practitioners, managers and policy makers can keep up-to-date on developments in the field. The CJP was extensively re-designed and re-launched in September 2008 with many exciting new features, including the Portal Reflections series, the Community Justice Directory and Community Justice Glossary.
The Community Justice Portal is a dynamic information and networking e-learning environment for all those engaged in the community justice sector. If you work with offenders, victims or the broader community safety and crime reduction arenas there will be something for you in this space.
The portal links to an e-learning environment which is managed by Sheffield Hallam University. This environment offers a full range of e-learning programmes, including an MA in Criminal Justice. There are already some programmes, courses and conferences you can subscribe to so please browse the rest of the site now.
The Community Justice Portal is an exciting and inclusive way to access
- the latest news and press releases
- the latest views of leading figures in community justice
- key new publications in this field
- networking space with others working in the community justice sector
- the key issues of the day through consultation and conferencing
- higher education study leading to a variety of recognised awards or simply for continuing professional development
