Our international links
At Sheffield Business School (SBS), we forge connections globally in order to drive ambition, broaden horizons and build diversity.
We believe our students and staff benefit greatly through SBS’s significant international presence. With more than 80 nationalities represented in our Sheffield campus, there is a rich mix of cultures, languages and business perspectives that build global awareness, transnational perspectives and broadened ambitions.
Global partners, global outlook
We have a growing number of high-quality partnerships with universities and institutions around the world to provide opportunities for innovation, engagement, and impact internationally.
We strongly encourage our students to gain international and cultural experience as part of their education. Our international strategy focuses on developing key strategic international partnerships contributing to research, TNE, recruitment and internationalisation/mobility opportunities.
Over the past few years, we have increased our partnerships with a number of AACSB-accredited institutions, including La Trobe Business School in Australia, Zagreb School of Economics and Management in Croatia, EM Strasbourg Business School in France, the University of Louisville College of Business in the United States, and SolBridge International School of Business in South Korea.
Student and academic mobility
In terms of student mobility, SBS has more than 60 Erasmus or other exchange partners around the world that provide our students opportunities to learn or work in attractive international destinations to enhance their knowledge, skills and employability.
Likewise, we provide numerous faculty mobility opportunities through both Erasmus exchanges as well as our Trans National Education (TNE) partnerships in China and Hong Kong, Botswana, Germany, and Croatia, where our faculty members regularly deliver teaching as well as engage in research and other scholarship activities.
Through our international strategy, we seek to enhance our global engagement work through a specific focus on particular geographic regions, building sustainable and multi-dimensional partnerships, and enhancing our international research collaborations.
