Purpose‑built spaces for language students, with specialist facilities, quiet study areas and places to practise, present and collaborate. Staff are based in the hub to interact and support.

Pop‑up shops and Expo Hall

Langsett is home to two pop-up shops. One lets students pilot products and test ideas, the other is an exhibition and retail space for students, staff and partners.

Hallam Café

Your spot for coffee, lunch and conversation – serving delicious, low-cost food from local, sustainable suppliers.

Roof terrace

Green, calm and connected – the terrace supports student and staff wellbeing with outdoor seating, planting and sweeping views across the city. It also helps manage rainwater as part of the building’s sustainable design.

Hallam Green

Right outside Langsett, Hallam Green is a relaxing public green space linking Langsett with our other new flagship buildings, Redmires and Strines. It includes over 400m² of species‑rich planting to increase biodiversity in the city centre. It’s also a flexible space for outdoor events and student art displays.

Designed for sustainability

Our city centre campus is built with sustainability at its core. High‑efficiency heat pumps and photovoltaic panels cut carbon use, while Hallam Green and living walls embrace nature and clean air. Green roofs, planting and Langsett terrace also help manage rainwater and keep the campus cool.
