Summary
Clair Marlow is the University Secretary and Head of Legal Services at Sheffield Hallam University.
Clair joined the University as a University Solicitor in 2016. She was appointed as Head of Legal Services in 2019 and then she became the Deputy University and Head of Legal Services in 2022. She was appointed to the role of University Secretary and Clerk to the Board in May 2024.
Clair graduated with a Bachelor of Laws LLB, from Sheffield Hallam University in 1998, when she went to Nottingham Trent University to complete her PG diploma in Legal Practice.
Clair started her legal career in Sheffield at Graysons Solicitors in 1998 as a paralegal where she qualified in 2002 before joining PM Law Ltd as solicitor. In 2004 she joined HLW Keeble Hawson where she became an Associate in 2011.
Clair developed a keen interest in governance through her role as a Governor and Director of Hoyland Common Primary School from 2013 to 2016 and then joined Handsworth Grange Community Sports College in September 2018 as a Governor and then became Chair of the Governors until her departure in May 2022.
