Doctor Alex Crombie PhD, MSc, MPhys, MInstP
Senior Lecturer in Physics
Summary
I have degrees in physics and electronics. I teach across all four years of the physics course at Sheffield Hallam, with a research focus on teaching development and pedagogy in STEM higher education.
Prior to arriving at Sheffield Hallam University, I was based at the National III-V Centre developing novel surface emitting laser structures. Outside of teaching roles, I am a member of the Higher Education Group within the IOP and am extensively involved in outreach work aimed at widening participation in physics.
