I have worked as Human Computer Interaction Researcher in England and Spain. I currently work as a Research Fellow at Sheffield Hallam University using Virtual Reality in the area of health technologies (pain distraction, physical rehabilitation, anxiety management, and prosthetics training).

About

Alicia Carrión-Plaza, is PhD in psychology research by the Universitat de València and Universitat Politècnica de València (Spain) with Cum laude and international distinction  She has more than seven years of experience in multidisciplinary research projects, specialising in the discipline of Human-Computer Interaction. Currently, she works as Research Fellow in the Impact-VR lab, Centre for Culture, Media and Society at Sheffield Hallam University. Her main line of research focuses on the development and evaluation of bespoke Virtual Reality (VR) in the clinical setting. Recent clinical trials have focused on promoting physical rehabilitation; VR training for prosthetic fitting; and dysphagia recovering.
