Summary

I was a Police Officer for 26 years, working predominantly for South Yorkshire Police, but also for Humberside Police and the College of Policing where I was on secondment as a Director of Studies. During that time I had various roles in Learning and Development, from training new recruits through to developing Senior Leaders. Whilst in Policing, I also completed my teacher training qualification and my MA in Post Compulsory Education and Training.

I joined Sheffield Hallam University in November 2019 as a Senior Lecture in Policing. I am the Course Leader fore the BA (Hons) Professional Policing programme and teach on Core Policing, Counter Terrorism, Digital Policing and Professional Development. I also teach on the other Policing programmes which are the Degree Holder Entry Programme (DHEP) and the Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship (PCDA).
