Lesley Saunders RN, RSCN, PGDipHCPE, MSc
My role within the Nursing and Midwifery is diverse. I teach most aspects of Children's nursing, my clinical expertise being paediatric trauma and orthopaedics.
I have the line management responsibility for a group of highly experienced lecturers and senior lecturers in the department. I am an active member of the Department Management Group and represent the department in a number of internal and external meetings with practice partners and commissioners.
I am passionate about ensuring that our nurse education will enhance the care of sick children (and adults) of the present and of the future. I facilitate the Department Service User and Carer group, and recently completed a one year secondment back into the NHS as Clinical Lead Matron at Sheffield Children's Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
