Summary

"I am the Course Lead for the PGDip Physician Associate studies. I am a doctor by background and worked clinically as a registrar in general surgery until I started my MD. Following completion of my MD I chose to embark on an academic career pathway.

In addition to teaching physician associates, I also teach onto a number of modules on the Advancing Clinical Practice postgraduate portfolio."

Teaching

College of Health, Wellbeing and Life Sciences

As the course lead for the PGDip PA studies course I am responsible for ensuring that the taught content and the clinical placements complement each other and are delivered well. I have an overview of the course and make sure that students are receiving the best teaching and learning experience possible.

"I am the module lead for the Gastroenterology, Endocrine and Renal module, and the Managing Medical Care module of the PGDip PA studies course. I also teach onto the Genito-urinary, Sexual and Reproductive Health module for this course.

The Advancing Practice modules I teach onto include Minor Illness and APACS."
